A Monkey-flavored Muffin in The Year of The Monkey!
1.
Prepare according to the list of baking ingredients. Also prepare the basic baking tools: an electric whisk, or a rubber spatula if you don’t have one.
2.
The packaging of Dr. Otter’s Chocolate Muffins comes with baking paper cups and a pack of chocolate chips, so there is no need to buy them separately. Place 12 small paper cups on the baking rack and arrange them. Then, preheat the oven first, the top heat and bottom heat are preheated at 180 degrees for 3 minutes (remember to preheat, the difference between the cakes is quite big)
3.
Add the premixed powder, edible oil, milk, and eggs into the mixing bowl, first manually stir, and then use the mixer after all have been blended together
4.
Use a blender to mix at a high level for about 2-3 minutes, and it will be almost uniform (as shown in the picture, the even batter looks very smooth)
5.
The chocolate itself is very sweet, but if you eat too much, it will be greasy, so you can add a banana to adjust it, and the moisture of the banana can be well combined with the cake during the baking process to reduce the chocolate greasiness. Chop the bananas and add the batter, mix well
6.
Put the batter evenly into 12 small paper cups, which can be handled with two small spoons.
7.
It is the same temperature, the top heat and bottom heat are both 180 degrees. Choose the upper and lower pipes to heat together and bake for 20 minutes (this is the process of slowly expanding the cake)
8.
Baking for a long time will affect the moisture of the cake, and the cake will crack if it is dry. But this depends on my personal preference. I prefer to open it slightly, and it is more durable (about 2-3 days at room temperature).
9.
Let it cool down after it’s out of the oven. After the cake cools, you can start decorating
10.
Use hot water to soften the chocolate syrup, then pour it on the chocolate muffin, flatten it with a dining knife, sprinkle with chocolate chips to make monkey hair, and then set aside an area to quickly put biscuits and marshmallows.
11.
The biscuits are the monkey’s face and ears, the marshmallows are the eyes. When placing the biscuits and marshmallows, you can hold them slightly for 30 seconds, and let them go when the chocolate syrup is almost dry.
12.
Then use the chocolate syrup pen to draw the eyes, nose and mouth to complete
Tips:
Using ready-mixed powder is much simpler, and the success rate is quite high.
