Ejiao Egg Custard

Use boiling water (the ratio of water to egg is about 2:1) to open the donkey-hide gelatin granules, and add a little sugar to taste.

Beat the eggs into a bowl with chopsticks, then slowly pour (3) into the egg liquid and stir gently until fully integrated.

Let the mixed Ejiao egg liquid stand for a while, then cover with a plate or plastic wrap, put it in the pot and steam over medium heat for 10 minutes after the water is boiled.

Eat it while it is hot or put the custard in the refrigerator for a while, just like eating pudding.
Tips:
1) If you like tender custard, you can slightly increase the water ratio.
2) If you don't like milk, you can leave it alone, but the proportion of water should not exceed 2.
3) When steaming, close the lid to make the eggs smoother and tender.
Precautions:
1. Ejiao can not be decocted in decoction together with other Chinese medicines. It must be taken after dissolving with medicinal liquid or boiling water and yellow wine.
2. Donkey-hide gelatin is sticky in nature and hinders digestion, so people with weak spleen and stomach and loss of appetite should not take it.
3. People with phlegm-dampness, vomiting, and diarrhea based on TCM differentiation should not be taken.
4. Don't take donkey-hide gelatin during a cold.
