Pollock Potato Cake
1.
Place the cod fish on the refrigerated layer of the refrigerator to dissolve naturally. The Alaska pollock fish I bought has been skinless and boneless, so I just need to defrost it naturally.
2.
The thawed cod is basically without any fishy smell, it has a sweet fragrance, cut into minced meat, then cut a few slices of ginger, cover it and marinate for about 15 minutes.
3.
It is best to choose potatoes with more starch, which is softer than soft. Peel and cut into small pieces, steam in the pot for about 10 minutes, and steam until it is cooked.
4.
Then use a spoon to press the steamed potatoes into mashed potatoes, set aside.
5.
Peel the carrots and chop into fines. Heat a pot with a little oil, turn the heat to low, and fry the carrots until cooked.
6.
Put the minced cod, carrots, and mashed potatoes in a bowl and mix well. The cod itself has a fresh and salty taste. For babies, it tastes very good without salt. For babies over one year old, you can add a little salt to taste. If you put too much, it will be salty!
7.
After the pot is heated, brush a thin layer of oil, turn to low heat, dig a small spoonful of mashed potatoes into the pot and press into a pie.
8.
After setting the shape, turn it over and bake it out. The fragrant and soft potato cakes can be used as an energy breakfast for the baby. It is good to pair it with a bowl of multigrain porridge and the like!
Tips:
1. Cod fish with potatoes can not only be made into cakes, but also into small balls. The taste and texture are very good. Other fruits and vegetables can be added, but the amount should not be too much, otherwise it will reduce the viscosity of the cakes and make them difficult to shape.
2. Choose sticky potatoes. You can also use yam or sweet potatoes instead. They taste very good. Cod can also be replaced with other fish, such as salmon, dragon fish, etc. Choose the ones with fewer spines and not too fishy.
