"autumn Nourishing Yin and Nourishing Lungs" Cantonese-style Roasted Barbecued Pork with Honey
1.
Prepare the main ingredient, plum head lean meat, and cut into a thin piece of finger-high thickness.
2.
The ginger, onion, garlic and star anise are all ready to be cut.
3.
Wash the meat and add 5 tablespoons of Lee Kum Kee BBQ Sauce.
4.
Then add all the ingredients except honey.
5.
Grasp the mixture with your hands, cover tightly and marinate for one day. (Marinated the day before, baked just the next day)
6.
For the marinated meat, remove the ginger, onion and garlic sticking to the meat, spread it out and put it on the baking tray.
7.
Put it in the middle of the oven, use the upper and lower fire to 200 degrees, bake for 20 minutes. (I use an air pot)
8.
After 20 minutes, take out the baking tray, brush each piece of meat with a layer of honey, and then return it to the oven to continue baking for about 5 minutes to complete.
9.
Finished product. Sliced
Tips:
You must buy plum head lean meat, it has 3% fat and 7% lean, so the roasted char siu is absolutely fragrant and not old.
You can also use an air fryer or an electric oven for baking. The temperature of the electric oven is 200 degrees, and I use the Philips air pan at 190 degrees to cook it in 20 minutes.
The temperature of the oven is set according to your own oven.
