Fresh Lotus Root Slices in Tomato Sauce

Prepare the ingredients.

Fresh lotus roots are peeled, washed and sliced; tomatoes are washed, orange petals are cut, and peeled; ginger minced; green onions are diced.

Heat the pan, add a teaspoon of oil, saute the minced ginger, pour in the tomatoes and fry until puree.

Pour in the lotus root slices, add a little bit of water, and use a spatula to grind the lotus root slices out.

Tips:
1. For cooking lotus root, copper pot or casserole should be used. People with weak spleen and stomach should not eat raw lotus root;
2. Women who have cold dysmenorrhea during menstruation should not eat raw lotus root;
3. People with diabetes should not eat cooked lotus root and lotus root flour;
4. Avoid using iron utensils for cooking lotus root.
