Huaxiang Mantou

The previous steps of kneading and fermentation are not described. Just like making steamed buns, only the modeling process will be introduced here. Divide the noodles into several equal parts, take one of them and knead into a long strip, mine is about 15㎝.

Cut the top strips into 5 equal pieces, roll them into round balls, press with your thumbs to make the edges thin.

Pinch the thin side relatively tightly, and squeeze all five of them to form a flower shape.

Finally, arrange the shape and make sharp corners on the outside. Use red beans as stamens in the middle, or red dates.

Do it a few more times and you will become proficient.

Steam in a steamer, about 15 minutes. Don't open the lid in a hurry after turning off the heat. Open the lid after a while to keep the petals full.
