Purple Sweet Potato Rice Dumpling Millet Glutinous Rice Dumpling

I use fresh zong leaves, just wash them. Because it is made of sweet rice dumplings, the prepared glutinous rice should be soaked overnight in advance. The purple sweet potato was washed, peeled and diced. When I took the glutinous millet, I saw lotus seeds. I thought about bringing it to pack together. Anyway, I ate it by myself.

Take the zong leaves. If the zong leaves are relatively small, use two together, overlap but slightly separate them, and roll them into a cone.

Put some glutinous rice in the gathered triangle, and add some purple sweet potato diced.

After filling the stuffing, fold the upper zong leaf down to completely cover the opening, and then tighten the zong leaf to the right along the edge of the triangle. Fold the zong leaf and tie it firmly with string.

Making zongzi is easy to look at and difficult to make, so you can find more videos to watch it. I watched the video from multiple angles and watched the video many times. I saved a lot of zongzi before wrapping it up. It will take a long time to pack one at the beginning, so just slowly pack more. So it directly leads to a huge inventory of rice dumplings at home.

The amount of water used to cook the zongzi needs to cover the zongzi. I made a reference by hand. It takes about an hour to cook rice dumplings in a pressure cooker. It is very convenient to cook in a pressure cooker. If there are too many rice dumplings, you may need to extend the time. After an hour has passed, you can open it and take a look.

1. Zongzi should not be eaten cold and must be eaten hot. The main ingredient of zongzi is glutinous rice, which has a high content of amylopectin. After the glutinous rice is heated, amylopectin will gelatinize, which is beneficial to be decomposed by digestive enzymes and is easier to digest; and once it is cooled, the starch will regenerate, and the intermolecular coagulation will be strengthened, making it difficult to digest.
