Traditional Mashed Potatoes
1.
Ingredients: 2 Dutch potatoes, 200ml milk or whipped cream. I prefer to put whipped cream (the amount can be added or subtracted according to personal preference). It is recommended to use Anjia's butter 80g, which has a stronger milk flavor. Salt and a pinch of white pepper.
2.
Peel the potatoes and cut into pieces
3.
Put salt in the water and put potato pieces
4.
Cook for about 20 minutes, and try it with a bamboo stick. If it can be easily inserted, it means the potatoes are cooked
5.
After filtering out the potatoes, put them on a basin
6.
Use a spatula to mash the potatoes and slowly hang them out. In this way, the tendons and skins of the potatoes will be filtered very clean. This is also the practice of mashed potatoes in general French restaurants. The taste will be very delicate
7.
Boil milk and butter
8.
Mix boiled butter milk with mashed potatoes, add salt and pepper to taste
9.
Finished product
Tips:
PS: I divided the steps very openly, but they are actually super simple. You can add your own sour cream, or Garlic Confit (garlic in oil), you can add cardamom, or you can replace the butter with olive oil. I hope everyone can make mashed potatoes with their own unique flavor.
