Yellow Rice Sticky Cut Cake
1.
Wash the glutinous rice and yellow sticky rice and soak them in water for at least six hours. If conditions permit, soak for a longer period of time. Because no water is added when steaming, soak the rice sufficiently.
2.
After the rice is soaked, find a container that can be steamed in the pot. The eight-inch square cake mold I used, the basin box in your house, is yours. If it is a fixed container, it should be filled with greased paper and cloth for demoulding. First spread the white glutinous rice on the bottom of the container, reminding again that the rice must be fully soaked.
3.
Like sweet ones, put some sugar in the soaked rice in advance.
4.
Sprinkle a layer of raisins and dried cranberries on top of the white glutinous rice. You can put them in honey beans according to your preference. You can bring a small amount of water along with the rice.
5.
Finally, spread yellow sticky rice on a steamer, turn to medium heat and steam for one hour.
6.
After the steamed sticky cake is cold, cover it with plastic wrap and let it cool before cutting it into pieces. Eat it while it is hot and make it more waxy. You can also refrigerate it and eat it as you like.
7.
It tastes great when cut into pieces and topped with sweet-scented osmanthus.
