Brown Sugar Red Bean Cake
1.
The red beans are soaked in water one hour in advance, and then add an appropriate amount of water and boil for one hour until they are soft. The picture shows the red beans that I have boiled. Don't pour the boiled red beans.
2.
Pour out the red bean water, add an appropriate amount of brown sugar to make sugar water (the amount of brown sugar should be adjusted according to the individual's acceptance of sweetness)
3.
Add horseshoe powder to brown sugar water and mix well. (The remaining amount of water for boiling red beans is about 500ml.)
4.
After boiling the water in the pot, place a layer of red beans on the vessel for steaming red beans, and then add the red bean water mixed with horseshoe flour, and steam it layer by layer, similar to the method of steaming red beans.
Tips:
The amount of red beans and water should be adjusted according to personal preference. If there is less water, the cake will be harder, and vice versa. I also personally suggest the red bean cake steaming method. You can add red beans and red bean water to one layer, and add red bean water directly to the next layer without adding red beans. When steaming the next layer, add red beans and so on.
