Winter Solstice Warm Heart Food, Good Things Nian Gao

1. Add 300 grams of water to the horseshoe powder in the brown sugar layer and stir evenly. This is a raw pulp.

2. Put 350 grams of water and brown sugar in the brown sugar layer in a pot, cook until the sugar melts, turn off the heat, slowly pour in 50 grams of raw pulp, pour and stir quickly.

3. The cooked pulp is a fluid, thin paste.

4. Pour the cooked pulp back into the raw pulp and stir evenly.

5. Pour the prepared red syrup into a bowl and set aside.

6. Mix all the materials of the horseshoe layer, stir evenly, sieve and filter out impurities for later use. This is white slurry.

7. Fill the water tank of the steamer with water.

8. Turn on the steaming function, 100°C.

9. Take a square steaming pan and brush it with a thin layer of oil.

10. Pour about 100 grams of red syrup in the steaming dish.

11. Put it in the steamer and steam for 5 minutes.

12. After 5 minutes, the red syrup has solidified and taken out.

13. Pour 100 grams of white syrup on the brown sugar layer.

14. Put it in the steamer and steam for 5 minutes.

15. A layer of red syrup, a layer of white syrup, repeat the interval until the two syrups are steamed. After steaming, take it out and let it cool, then demould and cut.
