[New Year Flavor from Huangyuan Rice Crackers in Ganxian County] Huangyuan rice crackers were listed as tributes during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty. They are both sticky and fragrant. In southern Jiangxi, eastern Guangdong, western Fujian and other places, there is a tradition of making edible yellow yuan rice crackers. It is similar to rice cakes in the north. The biggest difference is that yellow gardenia is added as a pigment, which is golden in color and rich in flavor.
Every year on New Year's Eve, the most missed New Year flavor is Huang Yuan rice crackers, which is the traditional New Year flavor of the Hakka people in Gannan.

Ingredients

Gannan Huangyuan Rice Crackers

1. The yellow yuan rice crackers sent by my sister from home are vacuum packed and beautiful in color.

2. Rinse and slice Huangyuan rice crackers, cut the baby cabbage heart and green garlic for later use

3. Add a small amount of olive oil (for weight loss and fitness reasons, the amount of oil is less), and the green garlic is sautéed in a pan

4. Put the yellow yuan rice crackers into the pot and stir fry

5. Turn it over while dripping water and stir fry so that it won’t stick to the pan. Add appropriate amount of salt during the process.

6. After the yellow yuan rice crackers are fried, they can be served on a plate. The color is very beautiful.

7. When breakfast is a good choice

8. There are many ways to use the small green vegetables and Huangyuan rice crackers, and they are very fragrant when fried with bacon.

Tips:

My mother said that the sliced rice crackers must be rinsed with water before frying. During the frying process, the water drips to make them look good and delicious. Huangyuan rice crackers can be fried, steamed, boiled, and fried. The taste is very good.
