Honey Grapefruit Tea
1.
Prepare a red grapefruit, then wash the skin with salt, and scrape the skin off with a squeegee.
2.
Then cut into thin strips, I cut a bit thick hahaha.
3.
Then add an appropriate amount of edible salt to remove the bitterness in the grapefruit peel, marinate for about an hour, and then add an appropriate amount of water to soak for at least four hours. I put it in the refrigerator overnight and wash it several times.
4.
Peel the pulp out, then sprinkle with fine sugar, so that the sugar juice can be marinated and the pectin can be better released from the pulp.
5.
It was marinated in the refrigerator overnight.
6.
Wash the grapefruit peel several times with clean water, then boil it in a pot for 10 minutes, then pour the water out.
7.
Put the grapefruit skin and the grapefruit meat into the milk pot. I didn't put any water because the flesh has been marinated.
8.
Simmer it on low heat for about half an hour, squeeze in half a lemon juice.
9.
Turn off the heat when the pulp becomes transparent.
10.
Put it into a fresh-keeping bowl, the bowl must be sterilized with boiling water, so that it can be stored longer.
11.
After it is cool, add honey and stir well.
Tips:
1. The grapefruit peel must be marinated with salt. After marinating, it should be soaked in water for at least four hours or even overnight, so as to remove the bitterness, otherwise it will be very bitter.
The thinner the grapefruit peel, the better.
2. The bitter taste can also be removed by boiling the grapefruit peel for ten minutes before making grapefruit tea.
3. After making the grapefruit tea, the bitterness will be reduced after three or four days, and the color of grapefruit tea is better and more transparent.
