Lettuce in Oyster Sauce
1.
Prepare the ingredients
2.
Soak the lettuce in water for 10 minutes and wash it with the pepper
3.
This lettuce is a bit old and relatively long, it is more convenient to cut into 2 sections with a knife; mince the garlic and cut the red pepper into circles, set aside
4.
Add light soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch and a little water in a bowl, stir well and set aside
5.
Boil water in the pot, add a little cooking oil and salt
6.
Add in the lettuce, blanch until it changes color, and then remove
7.
The length of time can be as long as you like. My family likes to eat softer ones, blanched ones are more cooked
8.
Drain the water and place it on the plate
9.
In another pot, heat up and pour the oil, add minced garlic and chili rings, and stir-fry on low heat to create a fragrance
10.
Stir the just made sauce and pour it into the pot
11.
After boiling, cook on high heat until slightly viscous
12.
Pour it on the lettuce while it is hot
Tips:
1. The blanching time of lettuce can be according to everyone's preference; if you like to eat raw and crispy, it can be blanched for half a minute; my family likes to eat softer, blanched for about a minute.
2. If you like spicy food, you can put some dried chilies together to make it more fragrant.
