Candied Grapefruit Peel

Wash the grapefruit with salt and make a cross for easy peeling

Peel the peeled grapefruit peel, peel off the stems and cut into long strips, and cut off the excess white

Put the grapefruit peel in a pot, add water and a teaspoon of salt to boil

Take out the grapefruit peel and soak in clean water for four hours

Pour the grapefruit peel into the pot, add the fine sugar, squeeze in the lemon juice, add water, turn on the heat until the sugar is all melted, cover the pot and cook for 30 minutes

Heat up the dried sugar juice until white foam appears in the pot, then turn off the heat

Take out and let the grapefruit peel to cool

Just wrap the grapefruit peel with sugar
Tips:
1. You can use the same method to make oranges and lemons;
2. Removing the white part of the grapefruit peel can reduce the bitterness, and soaking in clear water is also to remove the bitterness. If you don't like the bitter taste, you can soak it overnight;
3. When the syrup is collected on the fire, do not overdo it or it will turn into caramel
4. Wrap the grapefruit peel with sugar to prevent the grapefruit peel from sticking together;
5. The candied grapefruit peel can be sealed and stored.
6. After the pot is dried, the remaining grapefruit peel syrup is added to the water and boiled to obtain grapefruit tea.
