Cinnamon Purple Potato Yam Roll
1.
Prepare toast, sweet-scented osmanthus. The sweet-scented osmanthus can be homemade or use this brand. I think it's okay.
2.
Scrub the iron rod yam and cut into small pieces. Also wash the purple sweet potato;
3.
Don't need to peel the skin, steam it directly in the pot;
4.
The steamed purple sweet potato and yam are peeled separately and rolled into puree. Add a little condensed milk to the purple potato mash according to your own taste, and a little sugar osmanthus to the yam mash, and mix well. If you are looking for a very delicate taste, you can sift it once;
5.
Remove the corners of the toast and roll it into thin slices with a rolling pin;
6.
Spread a layer of mashed purple potato on the toast, and then spread a mashed yam in the middle. Here, you can roll the yam into sticks, and then put it on the mashed purple potato;
7.
Roll the toast into a cylindrical shape and press it for a while to help shape it;
8.
Slice it with a sharp knife, put it on a plate, and pour some sweet-scented osmanthus sugar according to your own taste.
Tips:
1. The yam should be washed, steamed, and peeled to avoid allergies and yellowing due to oxidation. If you want to peel off the skin before steaming, you should pay attention. It is best to wear gloves and do not let the mucus of the yam end to the pores to avoid allergies;
2. The purple sweet potato is relatively solid, so you can add some condensed milk or milk according to the actual situation when rolling it into a puree. The finished purple potato mash should be in a state that can be easily kneaded into a dough;
3. The yam can also be peeled and put on the purple potato puree without pressing it into puree. I personally think that processing the yam in advance and adding some sweet-scented osmanthus will taste better;
4. Roll the toast thinly with a rolling pin, which is more convenient to roll up, and it is not easy to break when rolling. But pay attention to moisturizing, and toast slices that are not used temporarily should be wrapped in a fresh-keeping bag to avoid being air-dried.
