Lycium Barbarum Porridge with Lotus Leaf and Lotus Seeds

Take a piece of fresh lotus leaf and place it in the sink, sprinkle 1 tablespoon cornstarch on it

Put the water over the surface of the lotus leaf and soak for 10 minutes (Hint 1: Soak the lotus leaf with cornstarch water to better absorb the dust attached to the lotus leaf)

Use a clean toothbrush to gently brush the front and back sides of the lotus leaf several times to remove the impurities and dust attached to the surface (hint two: the front and back sides of the lotus leaf should be cleaned)

Rinse the lotus leaves with running water

Fold the washed lotus leaves into a fan shape, and cut an appropriate amount of lotus leaves along the arc of the fan-shaped lotus leaves with scissors

Put enough cold water in the pot to boil on high heat, add the cut lotus leaves to blanch, and boil the water again to remove the lotus leaves

Cut the blanched lotus leaves into small pieces with scissors, put an appropriate amount of cold water in the pot, put the lotus leaves in the pieces, and simmer on medium heat

Boil until the water boils, then cook for 5 minutes until the lotus leaf soup turns green

Put rice and glutinous rice in a bowl and wash them with water

Put the washed rice and glutinous rice in the pot (Hint 3: You can remove the lotus leaves from the pot before putting the rice, put the rice in the lotus leaf soup, I put the rice in and cook it directly, I think the lotus flavor is more concentrated)

After the rice and glutinous rice are put into the pot, use a spoon to stir a few times, simmer on high heat until the water boils and turn to medium heat.

Peel the fresh lotus pod and take out the lotus seeds, the lotus seeds have a green coat on the outside

Peel off the green coat on the outside, the inside is the lotus seed kernel, which is the original shape of the dried lotus seed we see (if there is no fresh lotus seed, you can use dried lotus seed)

Put the peeled lotus seeds into the pot and continue cooking

Cook until the rice blossoms, the porridge is ready, soak the wolfberry in water in advance

Just put the wolfberry in the cooked porridge, or add some honey according to personal taste
