Pumpkin Flower Buns
1.
When the pumpkin is warm and not hot, add yeast and mix well and wait for 5 to 10 minutes.
2.
Add the yeast pumpkin puree to the flour and form a smooth dough, cover tightly, and let the dough rise for 20 minutes. (Only 20 minutes is enough)
3.
After 20 minutes, take out the dough and knead, and evenly cut into equal parts.
4.
Take a potion and knead it round and press to flatten it into a pie.
5.
Use a knife to cut into a cross shape into 4 petals. Don't cut it in the middle. As shown
6.
Add another knife to each of the 4 petals.
7.
Pinch each petal into a flower shape with your hands, then cut a small round piece in the middle and place it on to make a flower bud. (It can be cut with a decorating nozzle or a round mold can be used)
8.
Place all the shaped dough pieces in a steamer that has been rubbed with oil. Cover tightly and ferment for the second time to double the size. (I also used some purple sweet potato noodles to make some flowers and small turtle buns. Please see the tips for detailed ingredients)
9.
Put water in the upper pot and bring to a boil. Put the fermented dough on the pot and cover tightly. Steam for 15 minutes on high heat and turn off the heat. (After simmering for another 5 minutes, open the lid to prevent the steamed buns from collapsing)

Tips: Purple potato dough ingredients: 120 grams of cooked purple potato, 160 grams of flour, 80 grams of warm water, and 2 grams of yeast. The method is the same as that of pumpkin dough. The fillings of the small turtle bun are prepared according to personal preference.
