As for the origin of Cantonese-style rice noodles, there seems to be no unified statement. It is said that as early as the end of the Qing Dynasty, people selling rice noodles could be heard on the streets of Guangzhou. There is also a legend that when Emperor Qianlong traveled south of the Yangtze River, he was abducted by Ji Xiaolan to eat rice noodles in western Guangdong. He immediately praised him and said: "This rice noodle is a bit like pig intestines", so it is called rice noodles.
Although I am also doubting whether Qianlong's trip to the south of the Yangtze River really arrived in Guangzhou (what about Emperor Ji Xiaolankeng in Guangzhou so far from the south of the Yangtze River?), compared with the mysterious and unverifiable origin, the texture and taste of the rice rolls are much more real. The translucent rice skin is wrapped with fresh shrimp, beef and vegetables, supplemented with sweet and rich special soy sauce, which is delicious and rich in taste.
Rice rolls are often used for breakfast and supper, and can be seen everywhere in Guangdong and Guangxi; but in other places, Beijing gets "Jin Dingxuan", while Shanghai is to go to "Typhoon Tang" to find rolls (of course there are also high-end Cantonese restaurants everywhere, but the quantity is too large Many, let’s talk about the above two as representatives first), as the old Guangdong who once wandered abroad, it means that people in a foreign country will be grateful every time they eat authentic rice rolls, as if they have returned home;)
