Candied Orange Peel
1.
Scrub the oranges with salt to remove any wax that may be present
2.
Cut into small pieces and peel off the orange zest
3.
Use a knife to scrape off the inner white layer
4.
Try to scrape clean, otherwise it will be bitter
5.
Put the water that has just soaked the orange zest in the pot and boil, then turn to low heat for 10 minutes (the water here is not written in the ingredients)
6.
When the time is up, pour out the water, remove the orange zest, and cut into fine strips
7.
Put the orange zest, 150 grams of water, and 150 grams of white sugar into a pot to boil
8.
Boil on low heat, stirring with chopsticks from time to time to prevent the pot from sticking
9.
Boil until the orange peel is nearly transparent, and the water in the pot is obviously reduced
10.
Take out each orange zest and place it on the container. The remaining sugar water can be rinsed to drink. It tastes good
11.
After the orange zest is dried for 1 hour, put it on a plate with sugar and roll it around so that the orange zest is covered with sugar particles
12.
Put it in the container just now and let it sit overnight.
13.
The candied orange peel is ready and can be sealed and preserved. It can be stored for two to three months without going bad. It's good to eat as a snack.
Tips:
The orange zest must be cleaned as much as possible. You can also use grapefruit zest to make this snack
