Colorful Glutinous Rice Balls

The glutinous rice flour is mixed with warm water to form a uniform and appropriate dough.

Take one-tenth of the dough and put it in a pot of boiling water to cook.

After cooling, mix it with other dough and knead again.

Divide the dough into two parts, and then divide one part into three smaller parts.

Add purple potato powder, strawberry powder and barley grass powder to three small portions of dough.

Knead into colorful dough.

Roll the dough of the four colors into equal-length strips and place them together.

Rub gently with your hands

Divide into appropriate small doses.

The peanut cake is mashed with a garlic hammer. (The peanut cake is a special product my sister brought back from Kaifeng. It is very fragrant and sweet. I used it as a glutinous rice dumpling filling.)

Take a small potion and knead it into a circle, press it into a round cake with a thick middle and thin sides, and then wrap the peanut cake filling with an appropriate amount.

Wrapped colorful glutinous rice balls.

Put it in a pot of boiling water, let it rise and cook for another minute.

The filling is fragrant and sweet, with the crust and flavours of wheat seedlings and strawberries.
