Cranberry Peanut Nougat
1.
I didn’t use peanuts today. I still have a bag of ground peanuts at home, which must be eliminated, so I used ground peanuts.
2.
Put the crushed peanuts in the oven and keep it warm with the fermentation gear to keep the crushed peanuts warm, so that the effect after adding marshmallows later
3.
Weigh the dried cranberries and milk powder in advance and set aside. Dried cranberries need to be chopped
4.
Turn on the jam function and put the butter in the bottom of the bread bucket after 5 minutes. The reason why it is heated for five minutes is mainly because the jam function of my bread maker is to heat for 15 minutes before mixing. Heating the marshmallows for 10 minutes is enough, the sugar will be a little mushy over time, so heat it for 5 minutes first.
5.
Put the marshmallows in the bread bucket. Use the jam function to heat for 10 minutes,
6.
After 10 minutes, the marshmallows actually wanted to melt. At this time, add milk powder and the bread machine starts to stir. Wait until the milk powder is evenly mixed.
7.
Add chopped peanuts and dried cranberries
8.
Continue to stir until about 1-2 minutes
9.
To pour it out, I used a non-sticky baking cloth. I used the baking cloth to cover and knead the sugar balls repeatedly. Kneading and pressing can make the nougat more delicate and taste better.
10.
Stirring with the bread machine is very worry-free, and the bread bucket is not sticky. After being poured out, there is almost no residue in the bread bucket and no waste.
11.
Knead evenly and shape it into a rectangle with a thickness of about 15 mm, and place it in a cool place to cool.
12.
After cooling, cut into strips and then cut into pieces as needed
13.
Finally wrap it in sugar paper
Tips:
Don't heat the marshmallow for too long. If it is too long, you will be afraid of discoloration on the wall of the roasting barrel, but the nougat will be harder if it is heated for a long time. If you like to be harder, you can extend the heating time.
