The first time I ate Jiu Nong Dumplings at my uncle’s house during the winter solstice, the sweet glutinous rice was soaked in rice wine, and once I ate it, I could not stop at a big bowl. I used to think that the dumplings were just small dumplings. Although the meatballs do not have the filling surprise of glutinous rice balls, they are soft and sweet enough to surprise me.

Fermented Rice Balls

1. All the ingredients are ready for later use.
