Handmade Black Sesame Lantern

The cooked black sesame seeds are ground in a wall breaker.

Add fine sugar and melted butter to the ground black sesame powder.

After mixing evenly, put it in the refrigerator until it becomes a solid.

Add boiling water to the water milled glutinous rice flour. The water must be added little by little, while pouring and stirring.

Then knead it for a while, knead it into a dough that is neither soft nor hard, and pinch a piece that is very soft and smooth. (Because the powder absorbs different water, add it as appropriate to prevent it from getting too wet. Add dry powder if you add too much water.)

Roll the kneaded dough into long strips.

Divide it into about 18 grams of agent, then knead it into a ball shape, and gently press the dough into a small bowl. (You can cover the fresh-keeping bag when you pack it to prevent the wind from drying out.)

Take out the sesame filling from the refrigerator, one part of the dough wraps one part of the black sesame filling.

Press the filling with your left hand, slowly tighten the mouth of the tiger with your right hand, and round the mouth.

Roll the dried glutinous rice flour in a circle, and evenly coat the dried glutinous rice flour. (Many people say that the glutinous rice balls will crack when frozen. That is because the dough is not properly kneaded. The skin of the glutinous rice balls must be kneaded to be smooth, soft and elastic. Otherwise, the glutinous rice balls that are forcibly wrapped will inevitably crack!)

The glutinous rice balls are boiled in a pot under the water.

You can remove it after boiling until it rises. (If the glutinous rice balls are relatively large, you can drizzle some cold water, boil them again and remove them.)

Pour pure milk into the pot, start to cook at the lowest heat, and stir while boiling. Just boil the milk warm, no need to boil it.

Pour the milk into the Lantern Festival bowl. With a bite, the mouth is full of sesame and sweet, and it also has a milky taste, super satisfying!
