Homemade Hawthorn Strips

Wash the hawthorn, remove the pit, and cut open

Put hawthorn and sugar in a pot, add water and cook on low heat

When the hawthorn is soft, add maltose and continue cooking

Cook until the hawthorn is soft and rotten, break it with a stirring rod

The degree of fineness is shown in the figure, the stirring rod is not as fine as the wall-breaking machine

Put the pureed hawthorn in a pan, stir-fry on low heat, and try to fry until it is dry

Put it in a container and let cool thoroughly

After cooling, the hawthorn has been condensed into a block, buckled upside down, sliced and cut into strips

Hawthorn sticks are placed in the baking tray, it would be better to put them directly on the wire rack

Put the baking tray in the oven and bake at 100 degrees for an hour

It’s quite dry after baking, but it’s not the same as the commercially available ones. It’s dried for another day at room temperature.

It needs to be stored in the refrigerator with a fresh-keeping box, without any additions.
Tips:
Hawthorn must be pitted clean, otherwise it will damage the cutter head and grind teeth.
