I received the kelp from Bawang Supermarket. The meat is very thick. It is pickled kelp, which can be stored for a long time. Soak it in clean water before eating it.

Hot and Sour Kelp Shreds

1. Kelp from Bawang Supermarket

2. Soak in clean water for 2~3 hours, change the water in between

3. The soaked kelp washes off the mucus on the surface and shreds it

4. Put the kelp shreds into boiling water and cook for about 5 minutes. Adjust the cooking time according to the thickness of the kelp. You can take it out and taste it in the middle.

5. Transfer the cooked kelp into a bowl

6. Prepare pickled peppers and garlic cloves

7. Chop pickled peppers, mash garlic into garlic paste, add light soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, chicken powder, and sesame oil to make garlic paste

8. Pour the garlic sauce before eating and mix well.
