Improved Sour Plum Soup
1.
Clean the ebony plum; clean the hawthorn; wash and twist the jujube; wash the mint; if it is a large piece of rock candy, crush it;

Put the ebony, hawthorn, jujube, and schisandra in a pot together (do not use an iron pan), add water, turn to medium heat and keep boiling for about 30 minutes;
3.
Add rock sugar and cook for about 10 minutes; taste the taste during the period and adjust the amount of rock sugar.
4.
Finally, add fresh mint and turn off the heat immediately. (If using dried mint, cook for another 5 minutes)
5.
After cooling to room temperature, filter out the solid;
6.
Filter carefully again and drink it; it is better to drink after refrigeration or with ice.
Tips:
1. The specific effects and functions can be found by themselves. I think the most distinctive combination is schisandra and mint. Schisandra is named for its five flavors. It has a nourishing effect on the five internal organs of the human body. It can produce fluids to quench thirst, calm and soothe the nerves; peppermint clears heat and relieves the surface, can help prevent and treat summer wind heat and colds. These two things are still very good when put into sour plum soup. Not bad.
2. The professionally boiled sour plum soup has a complicated process, so simple and easy operation is required to make it at home. Remember to put the mint last. Put the fresh mint in and turn off the heat. Dried mint can be boiled for 5 minutes. Because mint contains volatile oil, it will have no effect if it is cooked for a long time.
3. Novices who cook sour plum soup may be too thick or too weak, mainly due to the control of the amount of water and heat. If you cook it a few times, you will find the taste that suits you.
4. In other words, will certain Chinese herbal medicines have side effects? In my experience, the current Chinese medicinal materials are artificially planted, and a little bit of useful effects or side effects can be ignored. Therefore, even this so-called improved version of sour plum soup has a great effect on relieving heat, thirst, and gluttons, and has health care and even medical effects. In short, don't take it too seriously, just taste good.
