Milky Way Mirror Cake
1.
Prepare an 8-inch cake embryo in advance, cover it with frosting sugar and smooth it, and put it in the refrigerator for more than 2 hours. Take a small bowl, mix the gelatine powder and water evenly, and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
2.
Put water, corn syrup and sugar into the pot and stir well
3.
Put it on the stove and cook on medium heat until the sugar is completely melted and transparent. Turn off the heat.
4.
Add the soaked gelatin powder and condensed milk, and mix well.
5.
Break up the white chocolate and place it in a large bowl.
6.
Pour the well-stirred syrup into a large bowl of white chocolate, let it stand for 2 to 3 minutes until the chocolate is softened, and then use an electric whisk to beat the mixture evenly.
7.
Strain the mixture and divide it among 5 bowls, two bowls with more and three bowls with less.
8.
Add pigments and adjust them to five colors of black blue, dark blue, light blue, purple, and pink. Black blue and dark blue are the most abundant.
9.
Pour the dark blue into a black-blue bowl and stir twice to form a two-color mixture without stirring.
10.
Take the cake out, place it on a bowl, and place the bowl on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Slowly pour the dark blue and dark blue mixed syrup on the cake so that the syrup evenly covers the whole cake. Spoon appropriate amount of light blue, purple, and pink syrup on the cake with random patterns.
11.
Hang the cake on the lightly wiped surface to make the lines merge into a galaxy shape.
12.
Dip the brush with silver powder, and gently touch the brush head to sprinkle the silver powder on the cake. Match the white pigment to an appropriate amount of water, and use the same way to gently swipe the brush head to sprinkle the white dots on the cake as stars. Let the cake dry completely.
Tips:
The syrup works best when poured on the cake when it is warm. It will not flow when it is cold, and it will melt the frosting sugar when it is hot, making it difficult to hang on the cake. If the syrup is cold during the operation, it can be heated appropriately in a microwave oven, usually about 10 seconds at a time.
