Rice Cake

Prepare glutinous rice and red dates. Soak glutinous rice overnight and dry dates for 2 hours.

Use a rice cooker to steam the glutinous rice like steamed rice. (Put more water than usual when steaming rice to make the glutinous rice sticky)

Steam the jujube on the pot, because it is dried jujube and steamed for 20 minutes, the following picture shows the steamed effect.

After the glutinous rice is steamed, add sugar and stir evenly

Sprinkle the mold with water for later use

Spread a layer of glutinous rice

Add another layer of red dates and spread two layers

After spreading, let it cool, then put it in the refrigerator for 1~2 hours, take it out and cut it.

The finished picture, the cut rice cakes, were sold on the street when they were young.
