Rose Nut Eight Treasure Rice

Prepare the main materials.

Soak the white glutinous rice and purple glutinous rice for 20 minutes.

Put the soaked rice in a steamer and steam for 15 minutes until half cooked.

Take out the steamed rice.

Add the half-cooked purple glutinous rice and white glutinous rice to the lard and white sugar, mix well.

Take a bowl and put a proper amount of lard in the bowl.

Put dates, nuts, and peanuts in the bottom of the bowl.

Spread a layer of mixed rice on the nuts.

Spread a layer of rose sauce on the rice.

Spread nuts in the next layer in sequence.

Spread the rose sauce in sequence and increase the amount until the ingredients are used up.

Spread to the upper edge of the bowl.

Put the spread eight-treasure rice into a steamer and steam for another 15 minutes.

Tips:
The nuts used in the eight-treasure rice can be chosen according to personal preference, and the sweetness can also be increased or decreased. The rose sauce I use is made by myself, and my friends don’t have to go to the supermarket to buy it. Peanuts can be used raw, and they will taste good after steaming and retain more nutrients.
