A plate of red cabbage stalks is indispensable for Wuhan people’s New Year’s Eve dinner. The crispy red cabbage stalks are a specialty of Wuhan. They are fried with bacon marinated and dried in the twelfth lunar month. They are very delicious.
This is the freshly picked red cabbage sprouts from the parents’ small vegetable garden. It tastes more refreshing.

Stir-fried Beetroot with Bacon

1. Wash fresh red cabbage stalks, peel and cut bacon into thin slices.

2. Heat the oil in the pan, pour in the bacon and stir fry to get the oil.

3. Pour in red cabbage sprouts and stir-fry quickly evenly.

4. Add appropriate amount of salt and stir well.

5. Stir-fry the beetroot stalks until they are half cooked, then serve them on the plate.

Tips:

The red cabbage sprouts are crispy and tender, without too much condiments and long cooking time, only when they are half-cooked can they taste different flavors.
