Baked Apple Chips

Take 1 teaspoon of salt, wash the apple with water, cut into 4 pieces, and remove the pits.

Cut the apple into slices, thinly sliced to a thickness of about 1.5 mm.

Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 10ml of hot water to the bowl to melt it, add cold boiled water, and stir well. Put each slice of apple in the salt water, otherwise the apple slices will oxidize and cause yellowing, and the baked apple slices will become bark-colored.

After all the cuts are finished, place the apple slices on the grilling net, one apple just fills the 2 grilling nets.

When cutting apple slices, preheat the oven in advance, 120 degrees for 10 minutes. Put the grilling net into the preheated oven, the upper and lower pipes are 100 degrees, 100 minutes. Note: I bake it in two batches. After baking for 60 minutes, take it out of the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes. Return to the oven and continue the test for 40 minutes.

One apple can be baked on two plates. For those who have never baked apple slices, I recommend using two apples to slice. The apple is not very good at the end, I eat it while cutting it. The perfectly sliced apple slices are baked, and the edges and corners are eaten directly.
The freshly baked apple slices may be a bit soft, but they become brittle after cooling. There are also many people who say that the baked apple slices are not crispy. If they become soft after being cooled, it means that the moisture is not dry. It was baked once before, and it was thinner than this one. After 120 minutes of baking and letting it cool, it became crispy, but it softened again within a few minutes.
This time I bake it for 60 minutes first, take it out and let it cool for 10 minutes, and then bake it for 40 minutes. The apple slices did not soften after cooling. It's not that the thinner the cut, the better, it's too thin, it will taste like paper, without taste.
