Chaoshan Winter Solstice Dumpling[no Stuffing]

Add a little red powder (edible) to the glutinous rice flour, then slowly add boiling water, stir with chopsticks, then form a dough, roll it into a circle on the chopping board with a rolling pin.

Then cut into strips with a knife, and rub with a little glutinous rice flour. (To prevent sticking together)

Use a knife to cut into small pieces.

After the water is boiled, put the glutinous rice balls.

The peanuts are broken with a machine.

Wash the black sesame seeds and drain the water for later use.

After cooking for 5 minutes, add the crushed peanuts and sesame seeds when the glutinous rice balls float. Finally, cook for 3 minutes and add white sugar to turn off the heat.

Eat a bowl of steaming glutinous rice balls.

Tips:
Winter Festival, according to Chaoshan customs, is regarded as a big festival, and every household makes glutinous rice balls (we call it so round) to eat glutinous rice balls. On the winter solstice, early in the morning, burn incense to pay homage to the ancestors. The glutinous rice balls in the sacrifice are necessary. I pray for the ancestors of the generations and bless the future generations to be safe and happy.
