Crystal Grapefruit Peel

Prepare the ingredients: a grapefruit, white vinegar, white sugar, lotus root flour and appropriate amount of water.

First rub the skin of the grapefruit with salt; hang the grapefruit peel off with a peeling knife; shred the peeled grapefruit peel (my experience is as wide as potato strips. Too thick and not easy to rot. Too thin and inconvenient to eat. ); Put the cut grapefruit peel in salt water and soak. Change the water every two hours, soak it twice, and then nap it with hot water. Soak in the water for another night. (This step is very important. It must be repeatedly soaked and washed several times to remove the bitterness and wax dirt on the epidermis that has not been rubbed).

Put two tablespoons of water in the bread machine, it is probably enough to make the grapefruit peel just now (don’t use too much water. Too much will not easily make the grapefruit peel transparent and flavorful.); then put four small spoons Sugar; then put in the soaked grapefruit peel (you don't need to drain the water from the grapefruit peel, save some); then sprinkle four teaspoons of sugar and two tablespoons of lotus root powder on top. Select the jam function of the bread machine to start. It's ready in about 1 hour. The finished grapefruit peel is transparent, and the sugar and lotus root flour have a silky feel. Take out the finished grapefruit peel candy while it is hot, and store it in a clean glassware.
