Five-color Glutinous Rice Balls
1.
Prepare materials.
2.
Add 6 grams of cocoa powder and 6 grams of green tea powder to each 50 grams of glutinous rice flour, add a teaspoon of lard, about 8 grams of sugar, pour in water and make a slightly softer brown and green dough.
3.
Add 50 grams of glutinous rice flour with lard and sugar to form a white dough. Add pumpkin and other materials to 50 grams of glutinous rice flour to form a yellow dough, and 50 grams of glutinous rice flour to add purple potato mash to form a purple dough. Make up the dough and wake up a little bit.
4.
To prepare the filling, I used red bean paste, mashed purple potato, and peanut butter.
5.
Take a piece of dough, divide it into even small pieces, and round it.
6.
Use your hands to squeeze the skin into a round shape, put it in the stuffing, and wrap it up like a bun.
7.
Roll into a ball and roll in glutinous rice flour.
8.
Put it in a dish sprinkled with glutinous rice flour. Finish all the dough in turn.
9.
Boil water in a pot, add glutinous rice balls in turn, simmer until the glutinous rice balls float, and cook for 5 minutes. Good-looking!
Tips:
1. Make the noodles a little softer, it doesn't matter if you touch your hands slightly. The skin will break when it is hard, and it won't wrap up.
2. The filling can only be used in lumps, which is too soft to handle. For example, my three fillings only use red bean paste and a small amount of purple sweet potato fillings. The peanut butter is useless and it is too thin to wrap. I had frozen the peanut butter, so I wanted to cut it into small pieces and wrap it. It's a pity that the weather is too hot and it melts before cutting.
3. When boiling the glutinous rice balls, boil the water on a low heat. If the heat is too high, the filling will be broken and the filling will flow out.
4. Pumpkin contains a lot of water, so there is basically no need to add water when making noodles. If it is too hard, add a bit more appropriately. The water needs to be added little by little when making the noodles.
5. Add a little lard when making noodles to make the glutinous rice balls smoother and softer.
