When I was young, my mother used to grow eyebrow peas in the garden at the back of the house. This vegetable is very special and does not need to be planted in the field. As long as the sun is visible and there is enough water in the front and back of the house, there is no need to grow it in the field. Depending on the branches, the vines of the eyebrow peas will grow vigorously. Eyebrow peas are grown in spring and grow in summer. They begin to bear fruit in autumn. They can be eaten until late autumn, and they can be harvested even when the frost is over.
Every spring, as long as you just plant a few plants, you will have endless black eyebrow peas in the fall.
Fresh eyebrows can be fried, blanched in cold water, roasted meat, stewed chicken, or sun-dried to make winter vegetables. If you accidentally let the eyebrows grow old, it doesn’t matter. You can cook the peas. In fact, we call it Chadouban locally, haha!
The eyebrow beans are sweet in nature, nourish the five internal organs, warm the stomach and intestines, help the meridians, a good food and medicine ingredient, eat more in autumn. "
