Grapefruit Peel Candy
1.
Grapefruit peel peel off the outer skin and innermost tendons, and cut into small strips. Soak in the water overnight. You can change the water two or three times in the middle (try to squeeze the water out of the peel before changing the water), or boil the water for 5 minutes and then remove the dry water.
2.
Add half a bowl of water to the wok, add another bowl of sugar, and boil the sugar over the heat.
3.
Stir constantly during the boil to prevent the pot from getting stuck. The whole process can be a small fire.
4.
Boil until the sugar water is thicker.
5.
Pour the peels in. You should spread all the peels before putting them in, but the effect is not significant.
6.
Stir-fry the peels continuously until the sugar water starts to condense and powdered sugar appears at the bottom of the pot, then turn off the heat. After turning off the heat, continue to stir-fry for a while, and let the grapefruit peel a little harder before it can be cooked. The remaining sugar can continue to be used for stir-frying or boiled sugar water to make tea.
7.
It can be out of the pot in this state.
8.
You're done, it's very easy. It can be stored in an airtight bag or an airtight jar after cooling.
Tips:
The process of frying sugar and frying the peel must be constantly stir-fried, otherwise the paste will not be good. The more moisture in the peel, the harder the finished product will be. If there is more sugar in the skin and flesh, it should be increased. One peel and one bowl of sugar are just right.
