Grapefruit Peel Candy

Prepare the raw materials. Wash the grapefruit completely. After peeling it, do not touch or wash it again. Tear off the ribs and white flesh next to the grapefruit petals and keep them as shown in the picture.

Cut the grapefruit peel into thin slices, as shown in the picture

Put all the rock sugar and water into the health pot, heat it on a low fire, wait until the rock sugar is all melted, add the sliced grapefruit peel, I adjusted it to the soup mode, it is always in a slightly boiling state, stirring from time to time

In this way, the grapefruit peel will fully absorb the sugar juice and offset most of the bitter taste. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally.

After about half an hour, I saw that the grapefruit peel became crystal clear. Then I opened the lid and paid attention to the amount of water. The water had to be boiled for a while, so I opened the lid and flipped it more frequently.

Worried about burning the health pot, I transferred the grapefruit peel to the plate when there was still some water

As it was just transferred to the plate, I used the microwave for the final moisture collection work, each time on high heat for 4 minutes, took it out and stirred it, about 4 or 5 times.

Repeat several times, depending on the actual situation, until the water is dry as shown in the figure.

After letting cool, it becomes firmer, the taste is sweet with some bitterness, and the taste is not bad. You can put a small dish on the table, and it can be used with meat to relieve greasiness, or with porridge.

Finally, put it into a clean and dry glass jar, sprinkle some white sugar on the surface, cover it, put it in the refrigerator, and take it as you eat.
Tips:
After peeling the grapefruit peel, do not wash it, as it will affect the absorption of sugar juice if it gets wet.
