Mala Tang is a traditional snack that originated in Niuhua Town, Leshan, Sichuan. Mala hot pot is also improved by absorbing the advantages of Mala Tang.

It is the most distinctive and representative of the "Sichuan flavor" diet in the Sichuan-Chongqing region.

Homemade Mala Tang

1. ·Ingredients·



80g noodles, 20g lotus root slices, 20g potatoes

10g oily tofu, 50g clams, 6g shiitake mushrooms

5g green onions, 15g celery, 2g pepper, 25g bean paste

15g garlic, 3g dried chili, 5g ginger, 10g rock sugar

2. Lotus root, potatoes, sliced and set aside

3. Saute the chives, ginger garlic, and peppercorns in a frying pan

4. Pour in the bean paste and stir fry for the red oil, then add dried chili and fry until fragrant

5. Pour in boiling water, add rock sugar to boil

6. Pour the lotus root slices and potato slices into the pot

7. Pour shiitake mushrooms, oiled tofu, clams, noodles after cutting

8. Cook on low heat for 2 minutes, add celery and cook until broken

Tips:

1. The bean paste is salty, you can leave it without salt
