Homemade Old Yogurt (bread Machine Version)

Prepare 1000ml of fresh milk (you can use commercially available pure milk without fresh milk) and 100ml of yogurt. The yogurt is the fermented seed I made last time. If you don’t have it, you can buy commercially available plain yogurt or yogurt fermentation powder containing live bacteria.

Sterilize and soak the toaster bucket with boiling water for a few minutes, pour out the water and set aside. Containers in contact with yogurt must be disinfected

Put a small amount of water in the pot for boiling milk

Pour in fresh milk. If you buy sterilized pure milk, you don’t need to boil it, just make it directly.

Add sugar and cook on low heat for about 10 minutes

Dry the milk to room temperature, add 5 scoops of powdered milk, and stir evenly, the purpose is to make the yogurt thicker, and the milk skin does not need to be taken out, and directly mash

Pour in 100ml of yogurt

Pour into the bread machine bucket, select the yogurt program, cover the lid and ferment for 8-10 hours

The prepared yogurt is thick, like tofu brain
