Homemade Vanilla Sugar and Vanilla Extract

Wash the glass bottle and dry it for later use, be careful to be oil-free and water-free

Cut the vanilla bean pod from the middle

Use the tip of a knife to scrape out the vanilla seeds and put them in the sugar

Cut the remaining pods into sections

Put it into the prepared container, cover the mouth of the bottle with plastic wrap

Put the lid on, and decorate the outside with greased paper and ribbon. Keep it sealed for 2~3 weeks before use; be careful to shake the bottle several times a day

Making vanilla extract: get the white rum ready

Pour the wine into the bottle and fill in the vanilla bean pods cut into pieces

Cover with cling film and keep the lid tightly sealed and protected from light; it can be used after a few months when the color becomes darker
