Jack-o-lantern Sushi

Prepare all the ingredients.

Separate the egg from the yolk. I use soil eggs, the yolk color is more beautiful.

Pour the rice into a bowl with egg yolks, add a small spoonful of salt, and stir well, so that each grain of rice is covered with egg yolk liquid.

Pour out the rice that has been fried until golden in color, put it in a bowl, and set aside.

After the cucumber is cleaned, drain the water, cut in half, then take half and cut into three triangular strips.

Dig a hole at the bottom of the rice cake and two at the top, cut into a shape similar to W.

Wrap the cucumber strips and rice cakes with sushi nori, and wrap them as tightly as possible.

Put a piece of plastic wrap on the sushi curtain, and then put a piece of sushi nori.

Spread a layer of rice in the middle of the seaweed and spread it as evenly as possible.

Take two cucumber strips and place them in the middle of the rice, leaving some distance between the two cucumbers. This is the part of the eye.

Fill it with some rice and cover the cucumber strips with a thin layer. It does not need to be too thick.

Put the remaining cucumber strip in the middle, which is used as the nose part.

Spread a thin layer of rice on top of the cucumber strips, then fill the grooves of the rice cake strips with rice and place them in the middle.

Cover all the rice cake strips with rice, and try to be even.

Roll it up and let it sit for five minutes. When rolling, the tension should be moderate, too loose will loosen, too tight will deform, I just rolled too tight, my mouth is a bit crooked.

Take a sharp knife, dip it in cold water, and cut the sushi into sections. A wet knife is easier to cut, and the cut surface will be beautiful.

Poke a small hole in the sushi head, insert the cucumber strips, and the Halloween pumpkin lantern sushi is complete.
Tips:
1. In order to make the rice have a distinct yellow color, the yolk of the soil egg is used to fry the rice.
2. The cold rice cake is very hard and difficult to cut. It is better to steam it a little bit, but it should not be steamed for too long, it will become very soft and sticky. If you accidentally steamed it too softly, wait until it has cooled slightly before cutting it.
3. Fill between the eyes, nose, and mouth with rice.
