New Year’s Eve is a day for family reunion, and this issue would like to share with you the New Year customs in my hometown of Shunde. Most people will wrap zongzi on the Dragon Boat Festival, and we in Shunde will choose a good day to wrap zongzi on the New Year.

Ingredients

New Year's Taste Full: Wrapped Rice Dumplings

1. Wrap Zongzi: glutinous rice, rice 1:1, wash and set aside.

2. Two pieces of tufted leaves on the bottom, put appropriate amount of glutinous rice, rice, salted egg yolk and pork belly, wrapped in cotton rope

3. Only Shunde people use tuna leaves to wrap rice dumplings. Yingying of the old neighborhood said that tuna leaves have a unique fragrance. The rice dumplings wrapped in tuna leaves are especially fragrant, and they are green and beautiful.

4. It takes about 6 to 7 hours to cook a pot of zongzi.
