Onion's Blooming Journey
1.
Remove the dry skin of the onion, wash and dry the water, cut off a part of the head, so that the whole onion can stand firm
2.
Use a knife to make a cross on the onion, don’t cut the bottom, keep a height of 1 cm
3.
Cut the cross again and divide it into 8 petals, leaving a height of 1 cm at the bottom.
4.
Cut all the onions one by one, and brush the whole onion with a layer of corn oil
5.
Wrap the onion with tin foil, try to wrap the onion as tight as possible, put it in the baking tray, and preheat the oven at 180 degrees for 5 minutes
6.
Put the onions in the oven at 180 degrees and bake for 25 minutes
7.
Take out the tin foil and brush the onion with corn oil once more
8.
Put it in the oven again and bake at 160 degrees for 10 minutes (adjust the time according to the size of the onion)
9.
Take it out and let it cool for a while and put it on the plate. Use your hands to sort the onion petals. If you want to eat, you can sprinkle a little bit of cumin powder after oiling in step 7. I won’t add other seasonings for appreciation.
10.
Let’s have a New Year’s Eve episode. Cut carrots into 0.3 cm thick slices, boil the water, and use a utility knife to carve out the desired text.
Tips:
1. Soak the onion in water before cutting the onion and it will not irritate the eyes
2. Be sure not to cut the flower cutter
3. Pay attention to the temperature during the second roasting, it will turn into black lotus when the fire is big
4. It is recommended to buy onions of uniform size
