Although Yuanxiao Festival has passed, glutinous rice balls can still be eaten for breakfast. (I want to explain first, because most of the glutinous rice balls are made of glutinous rice, it is not recommended to be a glutinous rice dumpling because glutinous rice is more difficult to digest.) I don't want to eat pure glutinous rice dumplings, which will make them greasy. Ever since, I used the red department and the purple department to make a glutinous rice dumpling, and some fruit, so that the stomach can digest this thing. Maybe it's fate, the papaya just turned yellow, and the glutinous rice balls cooked are much more beautiful than usual. Our family of three likes it very much.

Papaya Three-color Glutinous Rice Balls

1. Put an appropriate amount of glutinous rice flour in a large bowl, add boiling water and sugar

2. Knead into dough

3. Roll into small glutinous rice balls

4. The sweet potatoes are steamed in the pot, or they can be steamed in small slices, so they are easy to cook. I only used partially steamed sweet potatoes

5. Peel and mash into puree. Add glutinous rice flour and sugar while it's hot,

6. Knead into dough

7. Knead into small rounds

8. Steam the purple sweet potato in the pot, add glutinous rice flour and sugar while it is hot, knead it into a dough, divide it into small pieces of roughly the same size

9. Roll into purple sweet potato glutinous rice balls. (I put it in the refrigerator immediately after I finished it, I didn’t eat it right away)

10. Peeled, seeded and diced papaya

11. Bring the water in the pot to a boil and put in the three-color glutinous rice balls.

12. The papaya I bought is not very ripe, so it takes a long time to cook. Cook with glutinous rice balls until they rise. Add sugar

13. It's edible

Tips:

1. Mix glutinous rice flour with boiling water and knead it into a dough without sticking to your hands.
2. Add sugar according to personal preference.
3. When the papaya is boiled, the cooking time should be determined according to its rawness and ripeness.
4. If the glutinous rice balls have been frozen, they must be boiled for a longer period of time.
