Pumpkin Buns
1.
Steam the pumpkin and use a blender to make a puree.
2.
Mix flour and yeast powder, add pumpkin puree, and knead it into a smooth dough.
3.
Cover with a lid or plastic wrap, and leave in a warm place to ferment to double its size.
4.
Vent the fermented dough and knead until the surface is smooth.
5.
Rub the dough into long strips.
6.
Cut into equal-sized noodles.
7.
Put it in a steamer covered with wet cloth, with a space in between, because it will become bigger when steaming.
8.
Proof twice to double the size.
9.
Bring water to a boil on high heat, steam on medium heat for about 15 minutes, turn off the heat, simmer for 3-5 minutes, then remove the lid.
Tips:
The water content of pumpkin and the water absorption of flour are different. Therefore, the amount of pumpkin needs to be increased or decreased according to the hardness of the dough.
