Pumpkin Layer Cake
1.
Peel the pumpkin and cut into pieces.
2.
Put it in a steamer and steam for 13 to 15 minutes until cooked.
3.
The steamed pumpkin is pressed into a puree while it is hot, and you like to eat sweeter ones. At this time, you can put some white sugar.
4.
Add appropriate amount of self-raising powder, knead into a smooth dough, and place in a warm place for about an hour.
5.
The dough is fermented to twice its size and then taken out.
6.
Take out the spread dough and knead it evenly.
7.
Use a rolling pin to roll out a rectangular dough.
8.
Drizzle a layer of sesame oil on the dough.
9.
Sprinkle a little salt.
10.
Cut the dough into eight pieces, as shown in the picture.
11.
Fold it up from the bottom one by one, and then apply oil on each layer.
12.
After folding, use a rolling pin to roll into a square cake.
13.
Put it in a steamer and continue to ferment for about 30 minutes.
14.
Steam in a steamer over medium heat for 18 minutes and simmer for 5 minutes.
Tips:
When folding, each layer must be brushed with oil so that the layers will be clearer. If you like to eat sweeter, add white sugar to the steamed pumpkin while it is hot, and don’t leave it after the dough is rolled into pieces. Add more salt. If there is no self-raising powder, it is the same as adding yeast to the flour.
