Sago Coix Seed Red Bean Soup

Soak the red beans overnight.

Barley can be soaked an hour in advance, and it doesn’t matter if you don’t soak.

Put the barley, red beans, and rock sugar into the pot and boil for about one and a half hours.

At the same time prepare to cook sago.

Put the sago directly into the pot and cook.

When there is a small white spot left in the middle of the sago, turn off the heat, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, until the sago is completely transparent.

The braised sago is over cold water and set aside.

When the red beans and barley are soft and rotten, add sago, stir evenly and boil. The amount of water can be controlled according to your preference.
