Sour Plum Soup

Hawthorn, ebony, licorice, sweet-scented osmanthus.

Wash the ebony plum first.

Soak ebony plums in water until soft.

Wash the hawthorn slices.

Soak the hawthorn slices in water until soft.

Wash licorice.

Put enough water in the pot and put ebony plums in it.

Put in the hawthorn slices.

Add licorice.

Wrap the sweet-scented osmanthus with gauze and put it in the pot.

Bring to a boil on high fire.

Turn to low heat and cook for 40 minutes.

Add rock sugar and cook for another 10 minutes, and the sour plum soup is ready.
