Steamed Chicken with Fungus

Cut fresh chicken into small pieces, soak the fungus, and soak astragalus, red dates and wolfberry in water.

Cut the red dates and cut the ginger shreds for later use.

Put the fungus, red dates, astragalus, wolfberry and ginger into a large bowl, add cornstarch, light soy sauce, salt, sugar, a little oil, mix well and marinate for 15 minutes.

Tips:
Astragalus can be omitted if it is made for children. Ginger shreds mainly enhance the umami taste and remove the fishy taste of chicken. The cornstarch can make the chicken more smooth and tender.
